APM started in 1994 as a small team in Perth, Western Australia, looking to provide better vocational rehabilitation for injured workers so they could recover their health and stay in their jobs.

Why Recwise?

APM were looking for a cost-effective alternative to other solutions offered, such as Blackline.

APM had engaged with ‘Accenture’ for their the market research. Accenture reached out to request a demonstration for the client.

RecWise provided a thorough demonstration of the capabilites as well as very competitive pricing for a month end close solution that met the expectation of APM.

The Solution

APM being a provider of NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheeme) have very stringent rules in place to how they meet governmental requirements in the provision of services. They also have to manage the grants they receive and required a framework for the balance sheet.

 

The Outcomes

A few chalenges around the initial setup of accounts and the reconciliations they related to occured but these iterations are only at the initial stages as the client sees the framework being built and delivered and then reconsidering their options.

Whilst this may be seen as perhaps poor requirements gathering we work on the fact that the customer is always right, so to regig the accounts and reconciliations was undertaken to meet the go-live deadlines.

Maybe this meant that we had people with limited connectivity on those days whilst travelling through the middle of Australia it did not deter from the need to wow the client.

Many mossie bites later the updated format requested was delivered without additional costs incurred. We fix the price then fix your reconciliations.

 

The Results

Now happily being used we hope to rollout further in the near future to other countries.

The then CFO stated ‘what we’ve gone live, on-time?’. Obviously they have had experiences with Vendors that don’t deliver on deadlines the way we do.

Training was requested inhouse which was delightful. The view across the Swan River in WA from the Accenture building is awesome.

APM had a few questions in the initial months as every customer does and since the implementation have managed the application with ease adding to the fact that the application is robust and effective.
